Elliott Marsh Selected For
Leadership Development Program

Elliott Marsh of Ogeechee Technical College has been selected as a participant in the Georgia Agri-Leaders Forum’s Leadership Development Program for 2008.  Marsh is the Program Coordinator and Instructor of Agribusiness at Ogeechee Tech in Statesboro, Georgia.  Jimmy Hill, Executive Manager of the Georgia Agri-Leaders Forum Foundation, said, “Elliott was chosen to participate in the year long leadership program because of his involvement in and commitment to Georgia Agriculture.”

Incorporated in 1989, the Georgia Agri-Leaders Forum Foundation was developed to provide a forum for developing individual leaders skilled in communications, educated in local, national and world affairs, familiar with changing needs of our society, and prepared to meet the present and future challenges in Georgia’s agricultural and agribusiness society.  The Agribusiness industry accounts for about $49.3 billion of Georgia’s economy and is the largest single sector of the state’s economy.

The Forum consists of six study institutes held in Georgia as well as other locations within the United States.  Each study institute will focus on building leadership skills, exploring agriculturally related issues and giving each participant an in-depth understanding of what it takes to get involved in bringing about solutions to political, economical, cultural, social and agricultural concerns.

Participants are selected based on leadership integrity and effectiveness; communication and analytical skills; potential for personal growth; commitment to Georgia agriculture and related industries; and a commitment to program participation.
