OTC EMT Students Attend Emergency Medical Technician students from Ogeechee Technical College recently participated in Emergency Medical Service Day at the State Capitol in Atlanta. A number of students, along with EMT Program Director Steve McNure, assisted in providing health screenings to legislators and state employees. The visit was designed to create awareness about emergency health care in the state. EMS Program Director Steve McNure commented, "This was a great way for our students to see the legislative process at work." He further explained, "EMS instructors and students had the opportunity to relate concerns about emergency pre-hospital care to those who make the laws that impact our services greatly."
