Ogeechee Tech Hosts State Board Member Ms. Mary Flanders

On December 13, 2007 Ogeechee Technical College hosted Technical College System of Georgia State Board member Ms. Mary Flanders at a holiday luncheon on the College campus. Ogeechee Tech employees, local OTC Board of Directors members, and Ogeechee Tech Foundation Executive Board members were present to enjoy a time of fellowship to celebrate the holidays as well as the completion of another year of service to students and the community. Attendees at the luncheon were treated to music from a brass ensemble, a slide show of 2007 highlights, and comments from OTC Board Chair Tommy David, Ogeechee Tech Foundation Board Chair Barry Westbrook, as well as greetings and comments from State Board member Flanders. A dramatic presentation, a song, and a special poem from Ogeechee Tech President Dr. Dawn Cartee rounded out the event.

Dr. Dawn Cartee expressed her appreciation to employees for their hard work over the past year in helping the College move forward in serving it's constituency. "We have the best team imaginable here, and what each member of the OTC team does daily is nothing less than miraculous. So many people are given opportunities to succeed due to the efforts of the College's employees, it is very gratifying to work with such a great group," stated Dr. Cartee.
