Medical Assisting Students Hold
Pinning Ceremony

Medical Assisting students

Ogeechee Technical College (OTC) Medical Assisting program students celebrated the completion of their program of study recently with a Pinning Ceremony at which they received their Medical Assisting pins to wear on their uniforms.  14 students were recognized for their work in the program, and each was pinned by program instructors on stage as fellow students, family, and friends looked on.  65% of the students are already employed in-field, prior to the completion of the program.

In a speech entitled “Spread Your Wings and Fly”, Ogeechee Tech Pharmacy Technology instructor Michelle McCranie encouraged the students to always strive for professionalism and enhanced skills in their profession.  Medical Assisting instructors Marilyn Turner and Anne Gailey presented the pins to the students as each came forward during the ceremony.  Following the ceremony, a reception was held to allow family and friends to visit and congratulate each student.  For more information on Medical Assisting, or any other program of study at OTC, go to www.ogeecheetech.edu.
