Ogeechee Tech Concentrates
In cooperation with Keep Bulloch Beautiful, Ogeechee Technical College has recently had a recycling container placed on campus to allow employees and staff to help in efforts to recycle paper. The large blue container is provided through Bulloch County, and will allow the college population to conveniently discard recyclable shredded office papers, newspapers, magazines, and other appropriate paper following use on the campus. Ogeechee Tech employees and students have been encouraged to utilize the recycling container for home generated paper waste as well. In commenting on the recycling efforts, Ogeechee Tech President, Dr. Dawn Cartee, stated, “This is an important step toward helping reduce the amount of waste going into a landfill. We want to be good stewards of our natural resources, and expanding our paper recycling efforts on campus is a great way to help our environment.” Ogeechee Tech previously utilized a recycling program for cardboard boxes only, but this expanded effort will mean even greater levels of conservation through recycling. “Once this current effort is established, we will look at expanding our recycling to include other materials,” Dr. Cartee concluded. Ogeechee Tech custodial staff will provide periodic removal from containers in offices and classrooms on campus for placement in the large outside container.Contact: Barry Turner |
