Bulloch County Students Receive Academic Recognition

The hard work and determination of a number of Bulloch County students at Ogeechee Technical College was demonstrated as they were named on the college’s President’s List and Honor List for Winter Quarter.

The following OTC students from Bulloch County were listed on the President’s List (achieved a 4.0 Grade Point Average) for the Winter Quarter:

Melanie Marie Newbold, Kari A. Akins, Dana N. Johnson, Kevin L. Deal, Karen T. Smith, Kathy Dianne Wadley, William S. Harcourt, Keith Brown, Tonya S. Geiger, Eric Lee Strange, Tiffany Renea Anderson, and Candace Jode Carpenter.  Others included on the list include, Tamara Darlene Diaz, Erika Crystal McGahee, Stefanie L. Slater, Marshall Thomas Edge, Daniel J. Clark, Alicia Marie Kitchens, Jessica Fatima Jackson, Michelle Lee Gatzke, Helen Pullen, Jennifer Lee Griffith, Tracie L. Harden, Lydia R. McKinney, Montine Louise Stokes, Lisa Marie Umbarger, Robin M. Walker, and Jacqulyn J. Williams.

Margaret B. Dukes, Erin Kacie Craig, Holly Eileen Hunnicutt, Eliot E. Lee, Richmond Leo Maphus, Danielle Lynn Maynard, Alison R. Rushing, Susan June Townsend, Emily Rebecca White, Michael Whitney Brabson, Frederick D. Hendrix, Craig Whyte, Tanya C. Bartley, Lindsay Erin Russell, and Jennifer L. Saxon are also included in the President’s List.  In addition, Teresa Dayupay Elliott, Brian Lee Burns, Laurel N. Moreira, Gabrielle K. Lee, Runell Stephens, Donald Norris, Kenneth W. Shuman, Jocelyn A. McNure, Lisa Michelle Tinker, Kenneth Wayne Jacobs, Janika A. Parrish, and Andrea Nicole Farr.

Rounding out the President’s list are Timothy Matthew Hammond, Diane F. Hendrix, Julianna A. Lovell, James Edward Oglesby, Malyqua Setzer Roberts, Stuart Lee Strickland, Kimberly M. Griffin, Augustine Arthur Bunce, James Edward Conner, Jesse Ray Hopkins, James Herman Marsh, W. C. Mosley, Jr., Joshua J. Mager, Lory L. Gibson, David Martin Gentile, and Michael Shane Peden.

Students achieving a 3.5 GPA for Winter quarter were named to OTC’s Honor List.  They include Shnara Latrice Allen, Lisa Abigail Anderson, Mindy Deanna Anderson, William B. Bacon, Michael D. Blubaugh, Diana Elaine Brown, Robert Daniel Brown, Keisa Rochelle Clark, Donna Fogle Colson, Jacquelyn Elizabeth Davis, Allison Michele DeLoach, Kayse Michelle Dinkins, Cindy Rae Evans, and Christopher L. Fair.  Additional students included in the Honor list are Amanda D. Flake, Latasha L. Hall, Stacey Rayne Hammock, Deborah K. Hendrix, Ashley Angel Hill, Sunni Nicole Holland, Ciretha T. Holt, Eric D. Hopkins, Thomas Hugh Huffman, Vernon Thomas, Huffman Christina Smith Ivey, Brooks E. Lord, Kacie L. Mallard, Pamela Casey McKinney, and Meredith Shelley.

Others include Wesley W. Mincey, Matthew G. Nolan, Kendreia N. O’Neal, Robert Brian Penrow, Lakeelar Scherette Perry, Sergey Pugachov, Angela Laura Quinn, Beverly Ann Reavis, Shantell Onica Rivers, Rachel Amy Schooler, Justin Derek Scott, Shawn Simms, and Jacquelyn Kirstin Stafford.  Rounding out the Honor’s list are Kennon T. Tatum, Candice Taylor, Jessica A. Thomas, Alvin Turner, Jr., Kara Warren, Ashton A. West, and Alecia Leigh Williams.

In announcing the President’s and Honor Lists OTC president, Dr. Dawn Cartee, expressed pride in the accomplishment of the students by saying, “All of our students have personal and academic achievements of which they can be proud, but those who have reached the highest levels of academic accomplishment as demonstrated by these lists are to be especially commended for their hard work.”  “I applaud the extra effort put forth by the students listed here in achieving the distinction of being on the President’s and Honor lists” Dr. Cartee concluded.

Many other students from counties other than Bulloch were also recognized for being on the President’s and Honor’s list.  “Acknowledging individual accomplishment is one of the highlights of this job,” commented OTC Registrar Michelle Meyer.  “We always hope these lists will grow larger with each subsequent quarter” she concluded.  Lists for surrounding counties will be published separately as appropriate to each county.
