Ogeechee Tech's Biggest Loser 3 Begins

As part of Ogeechee Technical College's healthy campus initiative, Ogeechee Tech's Biggest Loser has kicked off again for the third round of weight loss by faculty and staff members. Five teams of four have embarked upon the latest attempt to trim down and lead a healthier lifestyle. With a collective total weight loss of 416 pounds at the end of the second round of Biggest Loser, it is obvious that the team approach to losing is working at OTC.

With prizes for weekly Biggest Losers, and additional prizes for the team with the greatest collective loss at the end of the six week period that each session runs, teams have additional incentives to lose weight, although the simple act of reducing body weight and becoming healthier is incentive enough for many.

With the success of the employee weight loss program, there has been interest expressed by students in beginning their own contest. Additional health related programs are being planned for employees and students which will be announced in the near future.
