Ogeechee Technical College’s Southern Authors Series kicks off for Fall quarter with Jackie K. Cooper, known in middle Georgia as “The Entertainment Man.” The public is invited on Tuesday, October 5 at 9:30am in the Joseph E. Kennedy Building auditorium as Cooper discusses his books, which include, The Bookbinder, The Sunrise Remembers, Journey of a Gentle Southern Man, Chances and Choices, and Halfway Home. Also known for his entertainment reviews in many middle Georgia newspapers and on television in that area, Cooper has earned the name “The Entertainment Man” and will live up to his nickname as he discusses the latest movies, in addition to his books and those of others. Cooper’s short stories have been heard on Georgia Public Radio.
“We are happy to welcome Mr. Cooper to Ogeechee Tech, as we begin our Southern Authors Series after a summer break,” stated Dr. Lynn Futch, OTC’s Library Services Coordinator. “In addition to our students and employees, we are delighted to have members of the public join us for this presentation.” Following the presentation in the auditorium at 9:30, Cooper will be on hand to greet attendees and to sign books. There is no charge for the program.
