Bestselling Author Next The latest installment in Ogeechee Technical College’s Southern Authors in Residence is Patti Callahan Henry, who will appear at the Kennedy Auditorium on the OTC campus on Thursday, April 15 at 9:30am. Henry is the New York Times best-selling author of six novels. Her latest novel, Driftwood Summer, “ is a novel of three sisters—responsible Riley, vivacious Maisy, and fun-loving Adalee—who reunite to save the family’s beach-community bookstore,” according to information provided by the author. The Island Packet in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina describes Henry as an author who, “writes movingly about love and family and the voyage we all take to discover what we really value.” Henry's appearance at 9:30 will include a discussion of her latest book, and a question and answer period. Following the presentation in the auditorium, the author will be in the Kennedy Building lobby to greet attendees and sign books. In addition to her most recent book, Henry’s other books include Losing the Moon, Where the River Runs, When Light Breaks, Between the Tides, The Art of Keeping Secrets. “The public is encouraged to come enjoy this opportunity to hear a bestselling author first-hand,” stated OTC’s Library Services Coordinator, Dr. Lynn Futch. The presentation is open, and free, to the public. For information, call Futch at (912) 871-1606. Contact: Barry Turner |
