Rod Smith joins faculty at Ogeechee Tech
Rod Smith is Ogeechee Technical College’s new Business Administrative Technology instructor. Rod comes to OTC from West Georgia Technical College in Douglasville. He was an Adjunct teaching various BAT courses for the last 3 years.
His prior work experience includes:
Recently Rod earned a Masters of Education Degree in Business Education from the University of West Georgia, also holds a Master of Divinity Degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Samford University.
Rod has lived in Atlanta for the last 30 years, and grew up in Rome, Georgia. His hobbies include travelling, photography, and aviation. He is a pilot with 1500 hours flying time. In addition, he is a certified Kansas City Barbeque Society and Memphis Barbecue Network judge. He has judged at Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational Barbecue, The Big Pig Jig, and the Deep Roots Festival & BBQ Cook Off.
