Chamber of Commerce Education Roundtable held at OTC
The Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce hosted an Education Roundtable at Ogeechee Technical College on August 25 in the Occupational Studies Building Conference Center. Dr. Dawn Cartee, president of Ogeechee Tech, was joined by Bulloch County School Superintendant, Dr. Lewis Holloway, East Georgia College president, Dr. John Black, and Georgia Southern University president, Dr. Brooks Keel in updating an audience of 80 Chamber members about the current state of education in Bulloch County. Members of the audience were allowed to pose questions to members of the panel by submitting the questions via index card to the moderator, Dr. Charles Webb. The event has taken place at the local Chamber of Commerce office for several years, but was moved to Ogeechee Tech to allow for more space, which was utilized by a record number of attendees.
